Reynella Family Care is committed to providing a psychology service that provides mental health accessibility to as many people as possible. The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends an hourly rate for psychological services of $311 for the 2024-2025 financial year. With the Medicare subsidy provided to eligible individuals this means a gap payment of $214.35 would be applied.
As from 1st January 2025, the gap fee for psychology services at Reynella Family Care will be increased by 10%. This is significantly lower than the APS recommendations.

Full payment of the consultation and gap are required on the day of service. For patients with a valid mental health care plan, Medicare will refund the rebate back to you via our TYRO machine or via the bank account held on file with Medicare. To receive psychological services under a Medicare rebate, you must be referred by your GP (or Psychiatrist or Paediatrician).
Individuals with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from their GPs (or in some instances, Psychiatrists or Paediatricians) are able to receive a Medicare rebate. Eligible clients are entitled to up to 10 individual sessions with a psychologist per calendar year. You will need to have your Mental Health Treatment Plan before you come to the first session for your rebate to be processed.
